First Nations Projects
In the fall of 2006, ERA began working with First Nations in Western Canada, including the Nisga’a and Haisla First Nations on ecosystem assessment and restoration of forest lands. This work will provide meaningful employment in remote communities and generate a range of environmental and other socio-economic benefits.
In February 2008, an ecosystem restoration agreement was signed with the Haisla First Nation. Discussions are currently underway with Central Interior and South Coast First Nations in regard to signing similar agreements.
