The Challenge
To combat climate change (global warming) we must solve our growing greenhouse emissions problem, by avoiding and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, principally CO2, wherever and whenever possible. However the fact remains the greenhouse envelope surrounding our planet continues to increase, trapping more of the sun's heat. Unless actions are undertaken to remove significant volumes of CO2 from the atmosphere, the Earth will continue to warm for decades.
Healthy ecosystems act as the earth's lungs. They "inhale" CO2, removing it from the atmosphere, and “exhale” oxygen. With at least 60 percent of the earths ecosystem degraded, and the amount of emissions rising daily, we are risking a global disaster... some would say of catastrophic proportions.
